Matthew K. Wynia (born January 18, 1964) is an American physician currently employed at the American Medical Association (AMA). Dr. Wynia is widely regarded as an international expert in medical ethics. His clinical practice is in infectious diseases and internal medicine at University of Chicago, where he holds an academic appointment. Two of his sons are in college, at University of Oregon and University of Colorado,Boulder, and his youngest son is in high school]. Dr. Wynia's wife was previously a professor at Northwestern University, Feinberg School of Medicine.
